Al-Wafi Foundation completes the documentation of data on the victims of terrorist operations for the year 2011

Al-Wafi Documentation and Studies Foundation at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has completed the documentation of the Ministry of Health's data on the victims of terrorist operations that occurred in Iraqi provinces in 2011.
The head of the analysis and monitoring center at the institution, Mr. Zahir Al-Khafaji, said: "The work included analyzing data related to various security breaches and the terrorist methods that targeted citizens."
He explained that "the statistics unit affiliated with the center has been documenting data related to the Ministry of Health since 2005, continuing through the subsequent years, up to the completion of the 2011 statistics, with work continuing in chronological order annually until 2023."
Al-Khafaji explained that "the statistical process relies on a precise methodology that begins with daily data recording, followed by aggregation and the preparation of monthly statistics, culminating in the collection of monthly results and the extraction of the annual summary for each year, in addition to classifying the victims into martyrs and injured."
He pointed out that "the statistical results for the year 2011 showed that the number of martyrs exceeded two thousand, while the number of wounded surpassed eight thousand, which highlights the scale of the human losses caused by the terrorist operations during that period."
