Conclusion of the activities of the second international conference on the landmarks of a good life according to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)

The Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine concluded the activities of the second international conference on the landmarks of a good life according to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

The conference was organized by the Islamic Center for Strategic Studies affiliated with the department, in collaboration with the Al-Ameed Scientific and Intellectual Association, in the Qasim (peace be upon him) hall within the holy shrine, under the slogan "Let us live a good life," and under the title: "Culture and a Good Life."

The conference activities included a speech by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, delivered by its board member Dr. Abbas Al-Dadah Al-Moussawi, and a speech by the scientific and preparatory committee of the conference, delivered by the director of the Islamic Center for Strategic Studies, Dr. Ammar Abdul Razzaq Al-Saghir.

The conference included a research session chaired by Dr. Abbas Ali Al-Fahham, in which five scientific papers were discussed by researchers from inside and outside Iraq. These papers addressed four main themes: the foundational principles of a good life and culture, the relationship between humans and culture (identity and mutual influence), cultural trends, and contemporary challenges and potential solutions.

The conference addressed a number of current intellectual challenges and crises, including Westernization, alienation, neocolonialism, translation, media, and the digital space; with the aim of understanding their contribution to achieving a good life and community building or hindering it.

The conference activities concluded with the honoring of the head of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sayed.pl Aqeel Al-Yasiri, for the head of the research session and the participating researchers in the conference.

The conference aims to achieve the themes of the topic "Features of a Good Life According to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)," which are: the concept of a good life and its foundations and principles, the impact of faith and belief in its formation, the biography of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) as the civilizational model of a good life, and the impact of religious gatherings in creating a good life.
