The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launches the activities of the second international conference on the landmarks of a good life according to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)

The Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched the activities of the second international conference on the landmarks of a good life according to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

The conference is organized by the Islamic Center for Strategic Studies affiliated with the department, in collaboration with the Al-Ameed Scientific and Intellectual Association, in the Qasim (peace be upon him) hall within the holy shrine, under the slogan "Let us live a good life," and under the title: "Culture and a Good Life."

The conference was attended by members of the Board of Directors of the Holy Shrine, Mr. Laith Al-Moussawi and Dr. Abbas Al-Dadah Al-Moussawi, along with several of its officials, as well as religious and academic figures.

Dr. Abbas Al-Dadah Al-Mousawi emphasized during the speech of the holy shrine that "defending our identity, solidifying our belonging, and preserving our cohesion can only be achieved by activating the Quranic reference and benefiting from the prophetic guidance and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in an era where influences compete and contemporary challenges invade, touching the intellectual and value system, and foreign patterns infiltrate minds and values, attempting to confuse the standards of right and wrong and reshape contemporary awareness."

He added, "We find it necessary to reconnect people's lives with their legislative and moral foundations so that our Islam remains connected to its roots, and this is an essential requirement for building intellectual and moral immunity."

Al-Dadah explained that "a good life, in light of the Quranic vision, the prophetic guidance, and the path of the pure family of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and their conduct, is when faith settles in the heart, yielding righteous deeds. There should be harmony between that faith and practical behavior. A good life is the fruit of the union of faith and righteous deeds, transforming guidance into conduct and practical application."

The conference included a research session chaired by Dr. Abbas Ali Al-Fahham, during which five scientific papers were discussed by researchers from both inside and outside Iraq.

The conference aims to achieve the themes of the topic "Features of a Good Life According to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)," which are: the concept of a good life and its foundations and principles, the impact of faith and belief in its formation, the biography of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) as the civilizational model of a good life, and the impact of religious gatherings in creating a good life.
