The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine signs a contract to implement services and infrastructure for the Al-Qamar Residential City

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has signed a contract with a reputable Iraqi real estate development and contracting company to execute service and infrastructure works for "Al-Qamar Residential City," a project designated for the Shrine's staff.

Sayed Mustafa Murtada Aal Dia-Uddin, Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, stated: "The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine—represented by its Senior Official, His Eminence Sayed Ahmed Al-Safi—has been keen to provide the best services for Al-Qamar Residential City, the plots of which were previously allocated to the Shrine's staff." He noted that, "in continuation of this approach, we signed a contract today with a reputable Iraqi company that will undertake, under the contract's terms, the preparation and provision of all city services."

He added: "The work will be carried out under the supervision of the Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and will proceed in several stages. It follows a dedicated work plan designed to ensure high-level, excellent-quality services befitting the city and its residents—the servants of the Holy Shrine."

Aal Dia-Uddin explained that "the service works encompass numerous components, most notably the construction, paving, and marking of the city's main and secondary road networks. This is in addition to preliminary infrastructure works—such as sewage, stormwater drainage, and potable water networks, as well as electrical and telecommunications grids—alongside various other services." The Al-Qamar Residential City project is one of several initiatives undertaken by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to provide housing stability for its staff—whether through the allocation of land plots or the provision of residential units—thereby helping to secure their families' futures.

The contract was signed following the approval of the project's final plans and designs, in coordination with the Directorate of Urban Planning in Karbala Governorate.

The General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is committed to providing suitable housing for its personnel, enabling each staff member to secure a home or a plot of land that ensures stability and security for themselves and their families.
