The third International Specialized Conference on Information and Libraries witnessed the convening of its first research session, which included discussions of a range of research papers and studies on information governance and the use of artificial intelligence applications in scientific research and library management.
The conference is organized by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, represented by the Indexing and Information Systems Center and the Al-Fadl Center for Heritage Preservation and Conservation, both affiliated with the Library and Manuscript House of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, in cooperation with Al-Ameed University and in scientific partnership with the College of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad, as well as the Information and Knowledge Technology Departments at Al-Mustansiriya University, the University of Basra, and the University of Mosul. The conference, held under the theme "Knowledge Leadership: Leading the Future," took place from October 13 to 15, 2026.
