The Lady Fatimah bint Asad (peace be upon her) Division for Quranic Studies—affiliated with the Office of the Senior Official for Women's Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine—has launched the fifth edition of the "Nun wal-Qalam" (Nun and the Pen) course, designed to teach correct Quranic recitation.

Ms. Fatimah Al-Mousawi, head of the division, stated: "The course aims to teach participants the rules of recitation and how to read the Holy Quran correctly and without error, in accordance with established standards. This initiative is part of the division's ongoing efforts to foster Quranic culture and disseminate the sciences of the Holy Book among women."

She added, "The fact that these courses have been held regularly—averaging two to three sessions annually since their inception in 2024—demonstrates their continued success, reflecting a positive turnout and a pressing need to learn and master the rules of recitation." She noted that "the course spans three to four months, with one session per week, allowing participants to attend lessons consistently."

Al-Mousawi explained that "the division provides free transportation for participants throughout the course as part of the logistical support offered to them." She further noted that "this is an introductory course; upon completion, we will organize an advanced follow-up course for top graduates, covering additional material at a higher level."

She emphasized the importance of women and girls participating in educational and Quranic courses, noting that such engagement actively contributes to instilling the noble principles advocated by the true Islamic faith and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
