The Medical Affairs Department provides intensive health and therapeutic services for free to visitors arriving in the city of Karbala

The Medical Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine provides its intensive health and therapeutic services on Friday eves, coinciding with the influx of visitors to the city of Karbala to commemorate Thursday night at the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

The head of the department, Dr. Haifa Al-Tamimi, said: "The department is keen to provide medical and health services for free to visitors on Thursday nights, in accordance with their needs," pointing out that "these services are offered at the Umm Al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Center and the Sayed Jaafar Al-Hilli (may God have mercy on him) Center for emergency medical services."

She added that "the services provided by the department include examinations, treatments, and first aid, in addition to supplying medications and medical supplies, which contribute to meeting the health needs of visitors during their stay in the city of Karbala."

Al-Tamimi explained that "the department's efforts are enhanced on Thursday nights through volunteer medical staff from the Al-Joud Medical Organization, to support the health services provided to the visitors and to increase the capacity to meet their medical needs during the Ziyarat."
