To localize therapeutic plasma technologies in Iraq, the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the signing of a strategic agreement with a specialized German institution to advance therapeutic plasma research. Under the agreement, the German organization will serve as the operational arm and direct supervisor responsible for transferring the technology and fully localizing it for local teams.

Speaking to the official website, Dr. Haider Hamza Al-Aboudi, Head of the Health and Medical Education Authority, stated that the agreement provides for the preparation of an intensive five-year training program aimed at qualifying and training national personnel on the latest technologies in plasma research and extraction.

He explained that human plasma contains hundreds of vital proteins that offer a promising therapeutic approach for a broad array of future diseases, noting that science has so far discovered only a fraction of these advanced therapeutic capabilities.

He added that the partnership with this expert partner came as the fruit of diligent work and sincere efforts made by the Authority’s young staff, who demonstrated high professionalism that earned them this partnership, alongside a solid research infrastructure established by reputable and pioneering institutions in this field.

Through this step, the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine aims to strengthen its position as an advanced regional center in modern research and therapeutic fields, contributing to the provision of the best medical services for patients and supporting the country's ongoing scientific and technological development.
