Umm al-Baneen Library (peace be upon her): The permanent book exhibition has welcomed over 3,000 visitors within one month of its launch

The Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Women’s Library, affiliated with the Office of the Senior Official for Women’s Affairs at the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, confirmed that the permanent book fair held at the Al-Afaf Women’s Complex received more than 3,000 beneficiaries within one month of its launch.

The head of the Library Division, Mrs. Asmahan Ibrahim, said: The exhibition comes within the efforts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine aimed at providing a specialized cultural space for women, noting that it includes a wide and diverse group of publications in the religious, intellectual, cultural, social and educational fields.

She added that the exhibition witnessed a diverse turnout of female visitors from inside and outside Iraq, in addition to organizing a number of accompanying cultural events and programs, including a competition concerned with religious culture, indicating that the number of beneficiaries from it exceeded 3,000 within a month of its launch.

She explained that the exhibition seeks to provide a cultural and marketing platform that allows researchers and interested women to have direct access to recent publications and publications that address women and family issues, according to an authentic and enlightened Islamic vision.

She pointed out that holding the exhibition falls within the library’s direction towards enhancing the presence of writers in women spaces, and facilitating the access of researchers and those interested in knowledge production specialized in women’s and family affairs, which contributes to supporting the women cultural and cognitive movement.
