University of Karbala: The agricultural projects of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine contribute to employing Iraqi labor and supporting the local economy

The Dean of the College of Agriculture at Karbala University, Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Al-Rubaie, confirmed that the agricultural projects implemented by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine contribute to employing Iraqi labor and supporting the local economy.
Al-Rubaie said: "The projects of the holy shrine significantly contribute to employing agricultural engineers from the College of Agriculture graduates, providing them with the opportunity to work in their field of specialization, in addition to attracting Iraqi labor and providing job opportunities for them, which positively reflects on supporting the local economy."
He added that "the adoption of modern technologies in its agricultural projects by the holy shrine, particularly irrigation techniques and the use of solar energy, contributes to rationalizing water resource consumption and reducing reliance on fuel, which leads to lowering production costs and enhancing the economic feasibility of those projects."
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on developing its agricultural projects and investing in land using modern methods and techniques, to contribute to increasing agricultural production, expanding green spaces, and facing the challenges of desertification and drought, in addition to providing job opportunities and supporting the local economy.
