Two friends go in a car to a training camp course every day. One day they had a traffic accident. The one in the passenger seat died, but the driver survived. Does the driver have to pay a blood-money for his deceased friend?
Answer
In the name of Allah, if the accident was caused by shortcomings or negligence by the driver, then he shall hold the responsibility for the bloodshed. If it was not the driver's negligence, he shall not bear anything. Allah is the Guide and Knowing.

What is the blood-money of wrongful killing?
Answer
In the name of Allah, it is a full blood-money. It is one of five things: one hundred camels, two hundred cows, or one thousand gold dinars (gold dinar equals three quarters of an ounce of gold), or one thousand sheep, or ten thousand dirhams (each dirham equals 6.12 ounces of silver). However, the blood-money shall be paid by the the wise people of the killer's relatives, who are close to him through the father, such as brothers, uncles, their children, and the children of their children. Allah knows best.
