I am a teacher and I live 60 km away from my wife and two children because of my work. I used to visit them every week and come back the next day. Now, is my fast valid if I follow the same program? How do I manage my business and my family without affecting my fast?
Answer
In the name of Allah, you must abide by fasting, and pray in full at your place of work, as well as when you are with your family. However, if the noon comes while you are on the way, then you will make up the fast of that day after the honorable month ends, and you have to shorten the prayers if you are on the way. Allah knows best.
