If a person sights the crescent, but the ruler has not judged, what should the people do in this case?

In his name of Allah, if the person is convinced of sighting the crescent, then he/she must abide by what he/she saw in his/her bare eyes. The prophet (PBUH&HF) said "fast when it (the crescent) is sighted and break when it is sighted", as well as whoever is convinced and satisfied with the crescent being sighted, abide by it. Allah knows best.
