In the name of Allah, when this region was taken over by Muslims in the regime of the second Caliph, a person who knew the customs and language of the Persians was needed to be a guide for them to the Islamic religion, which was new to the people of the region. There was no person in Medina at that time more capable than Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) for this.
