Did the Imams (including Imam Ali, PBUH) grieve, show sorrow, and hold mourning sessions for Lady Fatima Zahra (PBUH) on the anniversary of her martyrdom in the same way as for Imam Hussain (PBUH)? Are there any guidance or evidences from the infallibles (PBUT) regarding the holding of mourning sessions for all the infallibles, including Lady Fatima (PBUH), in the same manner that we do for Imam Hussain (PBUH)?
Answer
In the name of Allah, as for Amir al-Mu'minin (Imam Ali, PBUH) in comparison to Lady Zahra (PBUH), he was alone and did not have supporters to hold the mourning with him. However, he, with his sacredness, would cry for her along with his children, both in the house and at her grave. The Imams (PBUT) gave great importance to the tragedy of Karbala, considering it the most horrific calamity for Islam among all tragedies. They held mourning sessions for Sayyid Al-Shuhada (Imam Hussain, PBUH) and ordered others to do so. Allah is the Guide and the Knower.
