Is reciting the ‘Aqiqah supplication obligatory, or is it sufficient to just mention the newborn’s name?

In the name of Allah, the one performing the ‘Aqiqah should either recite the narrated supplication while offering and slaughtering the animal for Allah, saying “Bismillah, Allahu Akbar,” or say, “O Allah, I sacrifice this animal as the ‘Aqiqah for [name],” and then slaughter it. Allah knows best.
