The first hand transplant surgery was conducted from a clinically deceased young man who suffered a stroke to another person who had lost his hand and lived for many years without a hand. This process was carried out in Iran and they have achieved great success and they confirm that they can transfer any other member and the question is whether it is permissible according to religion or not.
Answer
In the name of Allah, if it is before the death of a person and if he/she is about to die, then this transfer is permissible with the consent of the owner of the organ, but after his/her death if he/she is a non-Muslim then it is permissible and if he is a Muslim then it is not permissible unless it is needed to save a Shiite Muslim from the inevitable death or something similar to death and the blood money would be the money of Imam Mahdi (PBUH), and it is not transferred to the heirs of the dead. Allah knows best.
