A husband forbade his wife from maintaining ties with her relatives, especially her parents, and threatened her with divorce if she disobeyed him. What is her religious duty in this case? Is it permissible for her to visit them without informing him?

In the name of Allah, it is obligatory upon the wife to obey her husband in this matter. If she disobeys him, she is considered sinful. Allah is the All-Knowing and the Guide.
