Is the revered Syed Al-Khoei (may his soul rest in peace) considered the most knowledgeable among the current living religious authorities? Do you allow those who previously followed him and now follow you to remain on his taqleed while taking new rulings from you?

In the name of Allah, in my view, it is not permissible to follow a deceased religious authority. Therefore, in the case presented above, one must refer to the most knowledgeable of the living religious authority. Allah is the Guide and He is the All-Knowing.
