Hadith 30-29

حَدَّثَنا أَبُو الحَسَن مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ القاسِمِ المُفَسِّرُ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زيادٍ؛ وَعَلِىِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَيّارٍ، عَنْ أَبَوَيهُما، عَنِ الحَسَن بْنِ عَلِىِّ، عَنْ أَبيهِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبيهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِىٍّ، عَنْ أَبيهِ الرِّضا عَلِىِّ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبيهِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ جَعفَرَ بنَ مُحَمَّد، عَنْ أَبيهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِىٍّ، عَنْ أَبيهِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْن، عَنْ أَبيهِ الحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِىٍ‏ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ قالَ: قالَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنين‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ هُوَالَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ ما فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعاً ثُمَّ اسْتَوى‏ إِلَى السَّماءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَماواتٍ وَهُوَبِكُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ عَلِيمٌ قَالَ هُوَالَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ ما فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعاً لِتَعْتَبِرُوا بِهِ وَتَتَوَصَّلُوا بِهِ إِلَى رِضْوَانِهِ وَتَتَوَقَّوْا بِهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ نِيرَانِهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَوى‏ إِلَى السَّماءِ أَخَذَ فِي خَلْقِهَا وَإِتْقَانِهَا فَسَوَّاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَماواتٍ وَهُوَبِكُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ عَلِيمٌ وَلِعِلْمِهِ بِكُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ عَلِمَ الْمَصَالِحَ فَخَلَقَ لَكُمْ كُلَّ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ لِمَصَالِحِكُمْ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ.

Abul Hassan Muhammad ibn Al-Qasim - the interpreter - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Yusuf ibn Muhammad ibn Ziyad and Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Say’yar quoted on the authority of their fathers, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Ali (a.s.), on the authority of his father Ali ibn Muhammad (a.s.), on the authority of his father Muhammad ibn Ali (a.s.), on the authority of his father Al-Ridha’ Ali ibn Musa (a.s.), on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far (a.s.), on the authority of his father Ja’far ibn Muhammad (a.s.), on the authority of his father Muhammad ibn Ali (a.s.), on the authority of Ali ibn Al-Husayn (a.s.), on the authority of his father Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.), “The Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) said the following regarding the Honorable the Exalted God’s words, ‘It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge.’ [14] ‘It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth…’ [15] so that you think and take heed and attain God’s pleasure in His Paradise and guard yourselves against His Fire. ‘Moreover His design comprehended the heavens…’ [16] that is He created the heavens and arranged them into seven firmaments ‘…for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge.’ [17] O Children of Adam! He knows everything. Thus He knows what is best for you.’”
