Accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, the Head of the Shia Endowment Bureau inspects the academic landscape and infrastructure of Al-Ameed University

The Head of the Shia Endowment Bureau, Dr. Haidar Al-Shammari, toured Al-Ameed University to examine the institution’s current status, infrastructure, the progress of its educational operations, and its ongoing academic and construction projects.

He was accompanied during the tour by the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Sayed Mustafa Murtada Aal Dia-Uddin. The visit included the College of Medicine, modern simulation laboratories, scientific laboratories, and classrooms. Dr. Al-Shammari also inspected the educational facilities and visited the new college buildings at the university complex in the Al-Ibrahimiyah area, which house the Colleges of Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Health and Medical Technologies.

Dr. Al-Shammari noted that Al-Ameed University comprises several specialized colleges operating at an advanced academic level, under the supervision of highly qualified and experienced faculty members. He highlighted the university’s role in preparing professionals who combine academic education with moral and ethical development.

He further remarked that the university possesses significant scientific capabilities and advanced academic features, emphasizing the importance of the teaching hospital in supporting clinical training for students in medical and health-related fields—a vital component of their professional qualification both during their studies and after graduation.

Dr. Al-Shammari reaffirmed the Shia Endowment Bureau’s support for the educational and academic institutions affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine—specifically Al-Ameed University and Al-Kafeel University—and commended the faculty for their efforts in elevating the academic and ethical standards of the students. For his part, the President of Al-Ameed University, Dr. Jawdat Al-Jashami, stated that the visit was intended to review the current state of the university, the progress of its educational process, the academic accreditations and rankings it has achieved, as well as its development projects and infrastructure—all of which meet the requirements of modern university education.

Al-Jashami noted that the College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University—the first non-governmental medical college established within the Iraqi university system—has seen significant development in its educational facilities, designed to support the learning process and strengthen the practical skills of its students.

He further explained that the university has secured institutional accreditation, while its individual colleges have obtained programmatic accreditation. He emphasized that these achievements are part of the university’s ongoing efforts—under the supervision of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine—to enhance its educational environment and elevate the quality of its academic outcomes.
