With the participation of more than 150 students, the Department of Intellectual Affairs held a dialogue seminar on the challenges facing youth in Dhi Qar

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held a discussion forum, with the participation of over 150 students from Al-Nasr Preparatory School for Boys in the Al-Nasr District, Dhi Qar Governorate.

Mohammed Hussein Abdul Abbas, media coordinator for the local branch of the "Moon Forum" (Multaqa Al-Qamar) Cultural Center—which operates under the department—stated that the forum is part of a series of cultural and developmental activities organized by the center. These initiatives aim to foster intellectual and behavioral awareness among youth, while addressing their needs and the challenges they face at various stages of their lives.

He added that the participation of such a large number of students helps expand the reach of cultural activities within educational institutions. He emphasized the center’s commitment to continuing events that cultivate youth awareness, strengthen their ability to navigate challenges, and encourage their active contribution to society.

The forum featured a lecture by Sheikh Ammar Al-Jubouri, who discussed the phase of youth and the associated psychological, behavioral, and social challenges. He highlighted key issues common to adolescence and explored ways to address and manage them with awareness and responsibility.

The event also included an interactive cultural segment, during which various questions were posed to the students to test their knowledge, broaden their understanding, and foster positive engagement and healthy competition. This was followed by a prize draw, with winners receiving awards provided by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine—an initiative designed to encourage the students to continue pursuing knowledge and culture.
