I have heard through some discussions with the brothers that all the ones who went to battle without the Imam’s (PBUH) permission is not loyal to the Imam (PBUH). In other words, such one is disobedient like Al-Mukhtar Al-Thaqafi and Zaidul Shaheed. This matter has drawn my attention that Zaidul Shaheed’s revolution has no suspension at all, whereas Al-Mukhtar Al-Thaqafi’s revolution has got some suspicions in terms of legitimacy. What is your comment?
Answer
In the name of Allah, as for Zaid bin Ali, Imam Al-Sadiq (PBUH) grieved for Zaid’s martyrdom, in addition to other situations which prove the soundness of his faith, rue and actions. On the other hand, there are some narrations saying that Al-Mukhtar has good intentions, while other narrations reject such narrations. However, what makes him have good reputation is the Infallible Imam’s (PBUH) seeking for mercy to this man, although Allah strongly forbids seeking mercy for the enemies of Allah, especially the tyrants. Allah knows best.
