What is the evidence that it is recommended to take off the shirts in the tragedy of Imam Hussein (PBUH).
Answer
In the name of Allah, there is no problem in that, but if this situation usually reflects sadness and regret, then it is desirable and required. Be informed, my son, that the narrations which referred to expressing sadness for the tragedies of Ahlulbait (PBUT), especially the master of martyrs (PBUH) are almost consecutively deduced ones. The ways of showing sadness differs according to the time, place and conditions. If a person was in a procession whose members hit the chest or use chains to show sadness for the master of martyrs (PBUH), this cannot be done without taking off the shirts. Thus, the narrations which refer to showing and expressing sadness logically refer to taking off the clothes. Allah knows best
